New York friends recommended Assunta Madre. We were excited when we saw all the fresh seafood on display upon walking in. The service was attempting to be “fine dining” yet they didn’t sustain it throughout the meal. Our young waiter tried to be helpful and attentive, but it felt like too much or not enough. We began with the cold starters and then the warm starters. The wait was very long (more than an hour!? with three other tables in the entire place) for the three primi pasta dishes. The head waiter had no apologies for it. The gnochetti with red prawns was quite delicious, the right saltiness and consistency. Overall, however, not worth the $360 euro price and sub-par service. Disappointing actually.
Top tier restaurant in a great location, great staff and food. We ordered the Menù Degustazione Pesce Crudo, which is basically a starter with different types cold fish, which was delicious. We also ordered Astice Blu del Mediterraneo, a lobster that you can see on the picture and we were very pleased with our food. The presentation was great, and the waiter even served each of our plates himself. It was a great experience and I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Probably the best seafood ive ever had. Me and my wife visited and had an incredible meal. The restaurant is beautiful, you get to choose your own fish and the service is impeccable. You absolutely get what you pay for.
Unfortunately very long waiting time, although the restaurant has been half full of guests. The fish was half cooked and cold inside. At the cashier I was asked by one if the waiters how my meal has been, I replied that the fish wasnt properly cooked, he answered: this can happen. No excuse. I would say there are many other places with better quality.

Highly overpriced. Decent fish, but badly prepared. The worst are the langustines, making me throw up. The price is ridiculously high, considering the poor quality of the cooking. A restaurant to really avoid.
Best fish restaurant in town by far. Absolute ultimate quality mediterranean fresh fish in esquisite traditional Italian preparation.
